LugaNow is the new app in augmented reality that allows you to relive Lugano how it was at one time and to get a peak of the future of this beautiful Swiss city. Thanks to modern technology integrated into the app all you have to do is to walk along the streets and squares of Lugano in order to lose yourself in a rare visual experience that is fun and informative. Not only can you see the Lugano of yesterday or of tomorrow, but you will also be provided detailed historical and cultural information along the way. Operation and structure of LugaNow In a few simple steps LugaNow will transport you in time... and along the streets of Lugano. A very quick tutorial will introduce you to the app. Thereafter you will be presented with a list of Lugano sites to visit: the user chooses the site he or she wants to visit, follows the GPS indications (which will change from red to green when one arrives at the appropriate site) and once the site in question has been reached, the user will see the augmented reality: while the user frames his or her own iPhone around the chosen site the corresponding image from the past or the future will appear on the screen. The images that are shown in augmented realty by LugaNow are not contrived but are from authentic photographs and old post cards; and if you are looking at a site that is undergoing restoration or construction, the app will show official renderings of how the project will look after the works in progress have been completed. The user can also request pertinent information on images and also give opinions or recommendations and share thoughts on Facebook, Twitter and Google+.
